In December of 2785, the 5th Dieron Regulars led a task force of seven infantry and Aerospace regiments which mounted invasion of recently claimed Terran Hegemony world of Towne. The planet was garrisoned by the 56th Avalon Hussars and it was supported by the 123rd Aero Interceptor Wing. The Regulars' invasion slowly overwhelmed the Davion forces, whom were inter-service rivals didn't quite coordinate their efforts to repulse the invasion.
