The Seventy-eighth had suffered heavy losses lately, in part because of the recent internal fighting within the Clan.

As of 3059 the Commanding Officer was Star Colonel Grace Lienet.[1]
Tactics
The Seventy-eighth was charged with assaulting enemies who were too heavily entrenched for normal Ice Hellion tactics. Towards this, they were assigned heavier OmniMechs.[1]
