The Ninth Jaguar Cavaliers were a front line military formation of Clan Smoke Jaguar.

The Ninth Jaguar Cavaliers are first mentioned in 3059 by Inner Sphere sources and it is possible that they were raised along with the re-forming Alpha Galaxy in the mid-3050s.
Post-Tukayyid[edit]
The Cluster had taken up position on Marshdale with the Galaxy Command Trinary sometime in early 3059.[1]
Operation Bulldog[edit]

Marshdale
The ComStar Ninth Division, the Ryuken-ni and the 1st Fusiliers of Oriente landed on Marshdale in August 3059.[2] The Cavaliers were prepared for an attack and the fighting was bitter. The Cavaliers held the battle line while the Galaxy Command acted as a strike team. The Cavaliers quickly decimated a Company from the Ryuken-ni, however outnumbered the pressure was eventually too much and on 12th August 3059 the line broke and the Cluster retreated off planet.[3][4]
Tranquil[edit]
Ignoring Lincoln Osis' call to defend Huntress Galaxy Commander Brendon Corbett took his command to Tranquil. Here he hoped to rebuild the Clan and assume the Khanship for himself. Although not stated it appears that the Ninth Cavaliers followed him. Pulling out of the Occupation Zone with captured Inner Sphere 'Mechs, many new OmniMech models, allowed the Cluster to rebuild somewhat. It would have later been attacked and destroyed piecemeal during Operation Damocles.[5] However, it is also possible that the 9th Jaguar Cavaliers was part of the Jaguar reinforcements Brendon Corbett was waiting for, arriving in-system shortly before his death.[6] This would have left them open to the batchalls issued by Clan Wolf.[7]
