Description
The Antares Series AS-17 C3ISR Satellite is a military surveillance satellite produced by Sorcerer Technologies of the Federated Suns. Part of a series of satellites built over time for AFFS and MIIO, the AS-17 C3ISR is designed for multiple roles: reconnaissance, command & control, communications, intelligence gathering, and surveillance. These satellites are designed to be quickly deployed and recovered. The AS-17 is meant to work with a constellation or group of same model satellite to give widespread coverage over a world.[2]
Much of the information on the AS-17 is classified, and many details regarding AS-17 operations remain objects of speculation and geusswork. It is believed that a select number of Antares are given to frontline RCTs; it is also considered likely that the MIIO and DMI can deploy a number of these satellites to support their operations.[2]
