Beatriz da Rosa was a gladiator from the Free Worlds League. She was an Independent Gladiator, mostly remembered for her fight on 18 February 3064 in the Grand Melee organized by Freak Show Entertainment in their arena: Grayland Gardens. The fight was to pit twelve MechWarriors with 'Mechs between light and Assault class.
A damaged ankle was making her lose a match on the tennis courts. Her opponent was a CRD-3R Crusader painted hot pink with an indigo snake coiled around the Crusader's right leg and the legend Pink Mamba was stenciled beneath the cockpit in matching indigo script. That Crusader was slowly tearing her machine apart, and only the appearance of David Singh in his Grasshopper saved her. Once she knew that there were indeed thirteen MechWarriors, both paired together to destroy Kiichi Omata and his Kodiak 2. With David acting as bait, they both finally stalked and made Omata surrender. Then she reveled that she had taken money from the Maskirovka's agent Xu Longshen to kill David. She might have been able to do that, but then Walter Bowman reappeared and returned the favor to David (who previously had saved him) and helped David to subdue her and her 'Mech.
Da Rosa signalled for surrender and then in front of the cameras explained that she had accepted money from the Maskirovka to kill David. That put her in the focus of the Solaris Gaming Commission and this ended her career.[1]
