Specialists in unconventional warfare, the Guardians spent nearly a century engaged in running black operations in former Chesterton systems that were occupied by the Federated Suns. They ran guns to rebels, extracted Capellan sympathizers, and assaulted AFFS military depots. In 2563 they raided a Davion-controlled prison and rescued several members of the Hargreaves family. This operation gave them their nickname "the Scarlet Pimpernels."
