David Roy Lear was the eldest child of Kai Allard-Liao and Deirdre Lear. He would go on to help Devlin Stone with the formation of the Republic of the Sphere.

History

Early Life

David was born on Odell in 3052. He was named by his mother, after a deceased MechWarrior killed on Alyina, David Jewell, in an attempt to conceal the father's true identity (later revealed to be Kai Allard-Liao).[4][5]

Jihad

During the Word of Blake Jihad, David vanished about 3067, and his family didn't hear about him until three years later. It was later revealed than he was held captive on a Blakist camp on Kittery, where he met another prisoner, Devlin Stone, becoming his friend and trusted man. David helped Stone to create the Kittery Prefecture, and later talked with his father, convincing Kai to present Stone to Victor Steiner-Davion, a meeting which became key to the creation of Stone's Coalition.[6]

Death

David died in early 3128, a loss which it was devastating for Devlin Stone. Cast adrift without his best friend and confident, he quickly became a virtual recluse, and two years later, he resigned and disappeared.[7]
