As of 3059 the Carrack-class transport Howler was a WarShip within the Clan Fire Mandrill touman and was serving as the CFM Howler. The Howler was one of only seven WarShips in the Fire Mandrill touman at this point.[1] Following the alliance of Kindraa Payne with Kindraa Beyl-Grant to form what was effectively Kindraa Payne-Beyl-Grant the Howler was renamed the Firehold and formed a part of the Kindraa Payne-Beyl-Grant naval forces, serving alongside the Lola III-class destroyer CFM Anathema and the Sovetskii Soyuz-class heavy cruiser CFM Reaver.[2]
