Description
The Gùn is a moderately fast, light OmniMech, which was designed by the Capellan Confederation as Infantry Support 'Mech. Built at Ceres Metals Industries on the Lockton factory, the design was first fielded in 3144 just as House Liao began its invasion of the Federated Suns Capellan March.[3][1]
Created to serve as a garrison 'Mech, in supporting role it serves as fire-support for the garrison's infantry & Battle Armor formations. However, being designed for this role with only 3.5 tons of Standard Armor, the 'Mech lacks sufficient armor to counter heavier Combat Vehicles and traditional BattleMechs in combat.[1]
Armament & Capacities
Designed with 10 tons of pod space, the default configuration of the Gùn features a combination anti-infantry & anti-vehicle energy weaponry. The 'Mech also features its designed with is a Small Cockpit and a XL Gyro.
Its main weapon is a Plasma Rifle mounted in the right arm actuator with two tons of ammo located in adjacent torso. The weapon is backed up a pair of Extended Range Medium Lasers.[1]
Alternate Configurations
- Alt. Config. A - Features a singular, but powerful Heavy PPC which is mounted in the 'Mech's the right arm actuator. BV (2.0) = 685[1]
- Alt. Config. B - This configuration gear towards Electronic Warfare, mounting Bloodhound Active Probe, Angel ECM Suite, and a TAG designator. The 'Mech only weapon is a single Extended Range Large Laser. BV (2.0) = 639[1]
