History

The Gamma Galaxy was formed to provide more forces for the Clan Invasion. The Galaxy was created by drawing the best warriors from the Horse's second line Galaxies and equipping them with new OmniMechs, giving the unit five full Clusters. However the unit lost two of those Clusters due to the need to rebuild Alpha Galaxy after the Ghost Bear assault on Niles in 3048. As of 3059 those units hadn't been replaced. Exacerbating the problem is the fact that Gamma is frequently raided for new troops when Alpha and Beta Galaxy need to rebuild or replace warriors.

Despite these setbacks, Gamma has been able to repel assaults by the Ghost Bears, Ice Hellions, and Fire Mandrills.[1]

During the brief partnership with Clan Wolf Gamma Galaxy deployed to the Inner Sphere. They faced Clan Ghost Bear forces on Goito and Kempten and scored several quick victories, but although they held the worlds briefly, the Ghost Bears promptly counterattacked and inflicted massive losses on Gamma. Shortly after James Cobb became Khan he used Gamma to rebuild Alpha and Beta Galaxies and sent the remainder to form Kappa Galaxy.[2]
