Planetary History[edit]

Clan Invasion[edit]

Goito was conquered by Clan Ghost Bear in October 3050, one of many worlds targeted during the fourth wave of the Clan Invasion. The First Bear Guards deployed their Supernova Command unit to destroy the defending Hunting Revelers, a garrison unit composed of two armor battalions. In the face of Supernova Command's relentless advance, the green Revelers' morale broke and the unit made a clumsy retreat into Apache Canyon where they were wiped out.[45]

First Draconis Combine/Ghost Bear War[edit]

After the First Draconis Combine–Ghost Bear War erupted following an attack on Alshain by rogue elements of the Alshain Avengers brigade of the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery in 3062, Clan Hell's Horses launched an opportunistic invasion of the Ghost Bear Occupation Zone[46] in 3063[47] at the urging of the Khan of Clan Wolf, Vladimir Ward.[46] One of the casualties of this campaign was the Ghost Bear's Sixty-third Provisional Garrison Cluster, a Cluster from Kappa Galaxy which was stationed on Goito when the Hell's Horses Gamma Galaxy struck. The Sixty-third took heavy enough damage that after the invasion was rebuffed the Sixty-third was disbanded and the surviving personnel and equipment used to help rebuild other damaged units.[48]

The Jihad[edit]

The Ghost Bears constructed the Kappa-4 manufacturing facility on Goito, placing it there to avoid an over-concentration of production assets on Alshain. The Ghost Bears used a mobile facility to create the core of the factory,[1] which was subsequently a victim of the Bloody Tricentennial attacks and was destroyed in late 3080.[49] A pirate band backed by the Word of Blake raided the facility in an attempt to capture Clan technology, only to discover that they were a diversion; as the defending Tenth Phalanx battled the pirates, Blakist insurgents detonated a nuclear device that destroyed the facility and most of the pirates along with elements of the Tenth. The Ghost Bear Watch spent the next month hunting down all of the surviving insurgents.[50]

Military Deployment[edit]

Geography[edit]

Goito has five continents: Mantovana, where the capital city Gonzaga is located, Rodigo, Volta, Roverbella, and Marmirolo.[1]
