History
The Gan Ju was a Leopard-class DropShip serving with House Liao. Besides a lance of BattleMechs it could combat-drop infantry, suggesting it was modified (presumably replacing the fighter cubicles for an infantry bay).[1]
During the Fourth Succession War the Gan Ju was an integral part of Operation Intruder Communion, the Capellan Confederation's raid against a secret research facility on Bethel in April 3029. It approached the planet in the radar shadow of an Overlord-class DropShip that drew off the defenders, allowing the much smaller Gan Ju to approach the objective and combat-drop its infantry complement (who would proceed to pump anaesthetic gas into the building) and five minutes later its 'Mech complement before landing and picking the troops up again after the succesful completion of the mission.[1]
