Description

Gray Death Light Scout Armor is a radical take on battle armor, almost taking the "battle" out of battle armor. Gray Death Scout armor is not equipped with any weapons and a single blast from a Medium Laser can obliterate both the armor and trooper. Despite that, its advantages have ensured continued production of this battle armor. It was the first battle armor to incorporate a Jump Booster that pushes the maximum jump to one hundred twenty meters. An advanced Active Probe enables a scout squad to effectively locate almost all hidden units. Since Gray Death Scout armor features two fully-functional hands, the troopers have no problems executing anti-'Mech attacks or riding OmniMechs into battle. [3] [4]

After the Legion's destruction on Hesperus II during the FedCom Civil War, construction of the suit continued on Glengarry, courtesy of Gray Death Technologies, a company founded by surviving members of the Legion's support staff, [4] until the absorption and transfer of its production lines to Defiance Industries of Furillo in the later years of the Jihad. [1]

Weapons and Equipment

Though Gray Death Scout armor has no integral weapons, its Armored Gloves allow soldiers to wield standard infantry weapons. While this does not allow for very much damage potential against hardened targets, a scout squad can be a serious threat to unarmored infantry. [3] [4]
