History

The Gyrfalcon Eyrie Cluster was one of the new Clusters formed by Marthe Pryde to rebuild the Jade Falcon touman after the Refusal War with Clan Wolf.

They took part in the Coventry Metal Works in the fight for Coventry. Prior to the assault the Gyrfalcon Eyrie had never worked together, even in a training exercise. This lack of coordination would hamper them throughout the campaign. In the initial landings for example, the Coventry Aerospace Defense Force was able to force the Gyrfalcon Eyrie's DropShips to land further away from the plant than intended.[1] Early on in the ground fight around the CMW complex, the Gyrfalcon Eyrie and the Coventry DMM both lost their command staff. This led to a chaotic battle that allowed the Lyran unit to escape. The Gyrfalcons spent the rest of the campaign trying to run the Lyran forces to ground, but their inexperience worked against them.[2]

Officers

During the fighting on Coventry, the Gyrfalcon Eyrie was commanded by Star Colonel Devin Buhallin.[3]

As of 3059 the commanding officer was Star Colonel Jurgen Mattlov.

Tactics

During the Coventry campaign, the Gyrfalcon Eyrie was too new to have developed any tactical specialties.

Composition
