The I Hastati Sentinels (also known as the First Hastati) were formed in late 3082 when the Republic fought the Capellan Confederation. The first six Hastati Sentinels regiments landed on Tikonov alongside Stone's Brigade. There they faced five Warrior House regiments and forced them offworld.[1]

The First Hastati were built from the First and Sixth Auxiliaries regiments. They were stationed on Nanking before joining the Republic task force that seized Liao from the Capellan Confederation.[1]

In 3085 the I Hastati is stationed on Al Na'ir in Prefecture II of the Republic of the Sphere.[2]
