History
The FCS Indomitable was the second corvette of the Fox-class WarShips to be constructed by the Federated Commonwealth.[1] The Indomitable continued to serve in the Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth[2] and became a part of the Federated Suns black water navy during the FedCom Civil War. The Indomitable was one of twelve Fox-class WarShips to remain in service with the AFFS after the devastation of the Civil War.[3]
During the later years of the Jihad the FSS Indomitable joined the allied coalition and took part in Operation SCOUR, the liberation of the Word of Blake Protectorate; the Indomitable even took part in the battle for Terra itself in 3078, serving alongside her sistership the FSS Admiral Michael Saille in Task Force EARTHBOUND.[4] The FSS Indomitable was destroyed during the battle for Terra when her commanding officer disobeyed orders and tried to destroy the WoBS Beneficence, formerly the Avalon-class cruiser FCS Melissa Davion, which had been captured and suborned by the Word of Blake.[5]
