Star Colonel Jurgen Mattlov was a Bloodnamed Clan Jade Falcon MechWarrior during Operation REVIVAL, the Refusal War and the Jade Falcon Incursion of 3058.[1][2][3]
History[edit]
Prior to the Battle of Tukayyid, then Star Captain Jurgen commanded Trinary Alpha of the Gyrfalcon Eyrie Cluster within Clan Jade Falcon's Delta Galaxy under Galaxy Commander Samantha Clees.[1]
Jurgen was wounded during garrison duty in the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone in May 3050, but would survive and later go on to earn his Bloodname.[4][1][5]
During the Refusal War, Jurgen would lead his Trinary against the 4th Wolf Guards Cluster and the 16th Battle Cluster on Sudeten in 3057.[2]
Star Captain Jurgen Mattlov would still be leading Trinary Alpha of the Gyrfalcon Eyrie during the Jade Falcon Incursion of 3058 when his commanding officer, Star Colonel Devin Buhallin, was killed during the fighting on Coventry. He was then elevated to Star Colonel and the command of the Gyrfalcon Eyrie Cluster.[6]

Jurgen Mattlov piloted a Zeus BattleMech.[1]

Per the Jade Falcon Sourcebook, Jurgen Mattlov was described as piloting a Zeus BattleMech. A machine usually associated with Inner Sphere units and not the Clans. However, the Jade Falcon Sourcebook was published before the creation of many of the second line BattleMechs common to the Clans. So Jurgen may have in actuality been piloting a second line Clan 'Mech or an older Star League era BattleMech. However, later sources, such as the BattleTech: Battle of Tukayyid, confirmed that some second line Clan pilots used common Inner Sphere 'Mechs refitted with Clan weaponry during the Battle of Tukayyid. So without another source confirming the type of 'Mech that was piloted, this article is written to show the machine as originally specified.
