Operation NIGHTHAWK was a plan devised by Exarch Damien Redburn to cut off leadership from both Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon during the Battle of Terra in the Dark Age Era.

History

As Devlin felt the pressure of both Clans hitting the Republic, Exarch Damien offered a plan that could decapitate leadership from both Clans Wolf and Jade Falcon. This plan was known as Operation Nighthawk. It would be a used as a false flag opperation as a way to confuse both clans while destroying their leads at the same time. While Devlin was reluctant to authorize the plan, the causualites he suffrered by both of them had forced his hand. He gave Redburn the permission to carry out the the plan. When Damien saw the Wolf leaders, he took chance and fired on whom he thought was Alaric Ward, but instead, he attacked the wrong target, killing SaKhan Garmen Kerensky and injuring the other Wolves in the process.[1] After the attack was seen by fellow wolf warriors, they converged on Damien's Jade Hawk, killing him instantly with concentrated group fire.[2]

Aftermath

Operation Nighthawk, had a consequence for Devlin Stone and his Republic of the Sphere. After the false-flag operation was exposed and the Republic defeated, the Exarch opened a channel to Wolf Khan Alaric Ward to discuss terms of surrender. However, after arousing the anger of the Wolf Khan, he insisted that Stone bring Jade Falcon, Khan Malvina Hazen to Stone's dismay. As a part of Devlin Stone offer to appease Alaric, he reliquish all of his Republic materiel to Clan Wolf and offered himself as a bondsman to help him and his Wolves. However Alaric would not Stone off that easily, instead he made his own offer: the disbandment of the Republic of the Sphere. While Devlin was reluctant to do so, he had no chance but to to comply with the deal and was accompanied by Chance Vickers to make the announcement. With the Republic disbanded, it opened up the door to the ilClan Trial[3].
