History
The Rim Commonality Guards were established after the Free Worlds League dissolved in 3079. They were formed by former Marik Militia and mercenary commands who wanted a steady paycheck. Initially satisfied to just claim their pay and aim for mediocre service, once the Rim Commonality began being raided by Regulan and Marian forces they were inspired to improve their skills. Eventually this allowed the Rim Commonality to bring other independent systems into the fold and establish mutual defense pacts with other independent systems. Once the Free Worlds League re-formed, the Rim Commonality Guards received support from the federal government and this allowed them to secure their gains.[1]
