Description
The Sabaku Kaze or Desert Wind, was produced by Buda Imperial Vehicles on Dabih in 2695. The vehicle was based on the ancient Age of War Azami Sand Devil design. The Scout Tank became a premier scout of its time. The vehicle was highly popular with Azami warriors and their Combine Commanders. It was prized for the high speed attacks that it could make on its targets.
The vehicle to see service through the early Succession Wars, until 2883. During the Third Succession War, Davion strike on Dabih destroyed production plant for the Sabaku Kaze. The raiders took great care to hit parts of plant that producted the fusion planets for the hovercraft. The breach of the containment facilities caused a fire that destroyed the plant and covered the area with radiation. This rended the site unusable, along with much of the surrounding area. The Sabaku Kaze faded from Combine's frontline units and history.
Armament & Capacities
The vehicle is armed with four Intek Medium Lasers medium lasers and two Intek Small Lasers in its turret. Kaze's for its principle firepower, it mounts a forward and rear mounted Four-tube Holly Short-Range Missile Launchers with ton of ammunition.
Powering the vehicle, is a Nissan 215 rated fusion engine, which allows the 50 ton vehicle achieve its 141 kilometer speeds. To protect the vehicle, its is covered with 8.5 tons of standard 'mech grade armor to allow it survive encounters in its high speed runs.

- Sand Devil - Cairo Enterprises introduced the Sand Devil in 2452. This was the predessor to Sabaku Kaze. This was ICE powered Scout Hover Tank resembled the local flat headed sand serpent lives in wastes of Arkab. The vehicle used high-density commercial plate for armor. The Vehicle was armed with two medium lasers and two small lasers in its turret. It desert tribes and nobles of the Azami worlds used these vehicles for defense as well desert racing. They were used to good effect against raiding Combine MechWarriors. Executives from Buda Imperial were impressed with nearly 200 year old Sand Devils proformances that they funded creation of the Kaze.[1]
Vehicle Notes
Vehicle max speed is 14, those fluff says 151 kilometer per-hour. The Sand Devil does not have a canon record sheet at time of this writing.
