History
The Snarl was an Overlord-C-class DropShip in the Clan Wolf Touman as of 3050. Listed among the support vessels of Khan Natasha Kerensky's 13th Wolf Guards Cluster (The Wolf Spiders), Alpha Galaxy, it was attached to the Clan Wolf flagship Dire Wolf.[1]
In this capacity, the Snarl took part in the Battle of Radstadt on 31 October 3050.[2] In the Battle of Tukayyid in 3052, the Black Widow and her Wolf Spiders performed a Combat Drop onto Tukayyid from the Snarl.[3]
Notes
- The Snarl was initially described in the Wolf Clan Sourcebook and a scenario in the BattleSpace rulebook as an Overlord-class vessel. This was because early sources frequently misidentified Clan DropShips as their Inner Sphere counterparts.[4] The short story We do the Impossible from the Battle of Tukayyid anthology specifically spelled out that the Snarl was an Overlord-C-class vessel in comparison to the Open Prairie, which was cited as a regular Overlord, and seemed to acknowledge the difference between their types.[3]
