Victor Vandergriff was a mid-31st century Lyran Solaris VII MechWarrior.
History
Early Solaris Years
Victor when part of the Skye Tigers Stables[1], he was billed as stable's number one fighter in late 3055. He was introduced to Duchess Katrina Steiner-Davion, Kommandant Galen Cox and Lady Omi Kurita by his Stable owner, Duke Ryan Steiner in March 3056, during Kai Allard-Liao's fight with a Liao fighter.[2]
He was a contender for the Solaris VII champion, his attempt to dethroned by Kai Allard-Liao failed.
Later Years
After this time he felt abandoned by his fans and stable. He lingered in lower classes fighting classes for years. Sometimes referred to by fans as a "Zombie", a Solaris VII slang for someone whom knowing knew he was already dead to the games. However, through determination not giving up he kept on fighting.
By 3062, he develop bad case of paranoia. Through this paranoia, he began win fights with his battered Banshee assault 'Mech.
On 15 August, began to the fight to the title, Solaris Grand Champion, but the duel with Michael Searcy is turned into open warfare in Solaris City. Vandergriff, began to lead fights for Loyalists for Katrina Steiner-Davion, reluctantly. He cared about having a re-match with Searny, since believed the FedSuns warrior was attempting to kill him.
By August 22, Michael Searcy lead a FedSuns force of 'Mechs and people to Loyalist held areas. There He and Searcy began to finish their duel. Searny, leading Victor into darken Steiner Arena to finish his match. Victor continued to fight without abandon, ignoring his 'Mech heat levels. Victor's Banshee began loss containment and consume the itself with white hot fusion fire. In his last moments, Victor manages down Searny's Pillager, as his 'Mech explodes killing him, never letting go of his triggers.
