The design capabilities also allows for it a to assist non-combat activities such as; Underwater mining, acting as a cargo transport for global needs, and as a surveillance command ship using it's powerful communication gear it's compliment of a dozen drone-type vehicles. Worlds which have been assigned an Wakamiya have rarely have more than two vessel gracing it's waters. Equipment and Capabilities

The Wakamiya is powered by fusion engine, giving it considerable speed for a ship of it's size. Also intended for dual usage with civilian support unit, the ship been given number of extra capacities normal ships would not necessary have. The Wakamiya is equipped with four lifthoists, which are found in pairs on both sides of it's front arcs. Fluid guns are also fitted to it's hull, which number of possible uses; such as in firefighting at sea. Also giving the ship depth, the ship has array of torpedo launchers enabling it to strike underwater craft as well surface units.[3] Each of the ship's 20-tubed long and six-tubed short range torpedo launchers are focused mainly in the front arcs of the ship, with two on the front, 1 per front side arc and singular launcher per type in the rear. Point defense is handled by ship Machine Guns, which are range with four mounted in the front and pairings of the guns found in all other ship's fire arcs. All of the ship's weaponry are guided by the Wakamiya's advanced fire control system giving it precise accuracy.

Drones can be embarked from the ship as well from either the vehicle bays or helipad, with the ship capable handling upward to twelve drones using it's Drone Control System. Giving the ship out reach to gather intelligence or conduct other tasks needed for it's commanding officer and staff. The ship's eight tons of communication equipment also gives the ship ability dialing-in an available satellites, coordinated or proving itself, or it's task force of vessels and aircraft electronic warfare coverage from more advance weaponry.
