Wu Deng Tang was a Solaris VII contender and later in his life also the commanding officer of the Harloc Raiders.

History & Tactics[edit]

Wu Deng Tang was a minor MechWarrior on Solaris in 3055. He was good at using cover, and his adage is well known: Many warriors feel there is shame in firing from cover. But the first lesson the arenas teach us is to make their terrain work for us. There is no shame in learning well.[3]

He was the son of the first commanding officer of the Harloc Raiders during its Mercenary years, Wu Deng Tang decided to follow his own path and started a gladiator career in Solaris VII. His most known day was when he fought Kai Allard-Liao in a Solaris VII Championship Challenge in The Factory.[4] Even though he lost, he created a good relationship with Kai.[5]

He was also important in stopping the raid engineered by Tormano Liao which could have ended with Peter Steiner-Davion leading Khorsakhov's Cossacks and dying on Shiloh, FWL soil, killed by CCAF forces.

When his father died, he was persuaded to return to the Harloc Raiders. When Xin Sheng started, the Harloc Raiders were one of the first units to answer. Wu Deng Tang asked the unit to be assigned in or near the St. Ives Commonality so he could use his relationship with Kai Allard Liao to ease some of the hard feelings left by the Capellan-St. Ives War.[4]
