The First Kavalleri was a light-weight and reconnaissance BattleMech Regiment, which was a military formation serving the Free Rasalhague Republic.
History[edit]
The First Kavalleri was formed on Radstadt in 3034 comprising mostly armor and motorized infantry.[2] In April 3034, the unit was on Heiligendreuz.[3] Involved in the Ronin War, they attempted to defend Radstadt from invading ronin forces in 3034, but temporarily lost control of it due to Vinson's Vigilantes' refusal to help in the defense.[4] The First Kavalleri moved to Goito in June 3034[3] and was destroyed in fighting in 3035; their surviving forces were absorbed into the Second Kavalleri.[2]
The First Kavalleri was the most experienced of the Kavalleri units, given their proximity to the Alshain Military District and the intensity of raids they saw.[1]
Later, the First would be re-formed before 3050 as a BattleMech formation, where it would be assigned as part of the planetary garrison force for Basiliano.[5]
The First was not known to partake in the defense of Basiliano,[6] and was not found in any post-Invasion rolls of the KungsArmé,[7][8] implying they were lost another unknown way.

- Note: At this point in time, the unit was stationed on Basiliano,[5] and support units included a light aerospace fighter company and a light combat vehicle regemente of mostly hovercraft and fast wheeled tanks.[1]

Color Scheme and Insignia[edit]
The First Kavalleri, like most of the KungsArmé, did not exist long enough to develop any particular color scheme. When deployed in the field, they used whatever camouflage was appropriate. For formal occasions, the standard KungsArmé scheme was to paint their machines light blue with gray and red highlights.[11]

- Brush Wars states the Kavalleri arrived on Radstadt in September 3034 and later that they were already fighting on that planet in August 3034.[4]
