The 246th Royal BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
Between early 2762 and late 2763 the 246th's morale suffered in response the commanding officer replacing six battalion commanders and one brigade commander for "seditious talk."[2]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Andarmax,[3] assigned as part of LVIII Corps, Seventh Army to District 3 of the Capellan Confederation Military Region. The 246th was deployed along with the rest of LVIII Corps to the Periphery in 2765, where it was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising.[1]
