A Skulk of Foxes, subtitled Fortunes of War #3, is a novella by Jason Hansa. Announced on the Mercenary Star Podcast and focused around the Screaming Eagles mercenary unit, the story is the third entry in the Fortunes of War fiction series announced by Catalyst Game Labs as unlockable stretch goals for the 2023 Mercenaries Crowdfunding Campaign. It was the $600,000 stretch goal, provided free to Company tier backers and above and available for purchase for those in lower tiers. The title was released digitally for Mercenary campaign backers on 30 June 2024, prior to being offered for retail purchase as electronic EPUB format and Print on Demand on 23 August 2024.
