Abder-Rahman Barton was the commanding officer of the Fifth Republican Guards between 3050 and 3058.[1][2]

Leutnant-General Barton led the unit during Operation GUERRERO, when the Fifth was stationed on Elgin. There they were ineffective at countering the Capellan Confederation-sponsored terrorists who were attacking the world. The Fifth was targeted for destruction by the nobles on the world once they found out that Abder-Rahman Barton was a Maskirovka spy.[2]
