Danger Dave and the Amazon Express was a low-budget holovid, which was available on Tharkad during the early 3070s, covering the adventures of Danger Dave in a space setting.[1][2]
Overview[edit]
Danger Dave and the Amazon Express followed the adventures of main character Danger Dave, including time spent on JumpShips, during which Dave repeated made sexualized reference to the practice of hot bunking aboard ship. Due to its lower budget, the holovid was not however shot in zero-g despite its setting, with magnetic boots being used as the excuse for the characters not appearing to be in freefall conditions.
The holovid was referred to in lectures at Tharkad University by academic Dietrich Mathers on aerospace operations, to point out various inaccuracy in the fictional presentation, as compared to real life on a spaceship.[1][2]
