Fay Nichols was the aide to the commanding officer of the Alarion Province Militia as of 3067.[2]
History[edit]
During the War of 3039, Hauptmann-Kommandant Nichols served with the Third Lyran Regulars during the joint Federated Suns/Lyran Commonwealth invasion of the Draconis Combine. Tasked with defending the world of Delacruz's primary military installation on the island of Goi-pa, the Third Lyran Regulars were not prepared when the Eighth Sword of Light and the Second and Fourth An Ting Legions counter-invaded Delacruz at the start of August 3039. An underwater surprise attack in conjunction with an enemy orbital drop shattered the Third Regulars as a combat unit, leaving Nichols as the unit's senior surviving officer and in charge of the Regulars' retreat from the line of battle.[3]
By 3050, Hauptmann-General Nichols was commanding officer of the Donegal March's Alarion Operations Area.[1] Following the Clan Invasion, Nichols retained command of the Alarion OA and held that post by 3054.[4] By 3067, now-Leutnant-General Nichols served under Hauptmann-General Peter Zenger as executive officer of the Alarion Province Militia in the Lyran Alliance's Alarion Province.[2]
