Geran was a Clan Jade Falcon lower casteman during the later Dark Age era and joined the proto-state founded upon commerce, the Alyina Mercantile League.

Dark Age[edit]
Geran, described as an ambitious up and coming face in the Merchant caste, somehow ended leading them on Twycross, one of least prestigious destinies in the Clan Occupation Zone.[1]
IlClan Era[edit]
In 3151, as the Falcon Occupation Zone became the chaotic Hinterlands, Geran saw an opportunity and, as the planet lacked any significant Warrior caste presence, he assumed full control of it, keeping Twycross running smoothly. In a few months time, he received an unexpected visit: the Merchant Factor, Marena. She informed him of his Clan's defeat and de facto annihilation in the Battle of Terra. She had just taken control of the nearby planet Alyina, and intended creating a new, merchant-oriented state.
Eager to ride Marena's coattails to further successes, he swiftly agreed to administer the world in her name.[1]
Soon after, Geran traveled with Marena to the system's Clan Sea Fox controlled planet, where Geran assisted her in negotiating an alliance between the AML and the Foxes. Marena soon announced the formation of the Alyina Mercantile League.[2]
Marena soon found her new and quickly growing state seriously undefended, but she didn't want to create a new Warrior caste which ruined the AML, just like how the Warrior caste ruined Clan Jade Falcon. Geran advised her how to solve it: to use the riches of the AML to hire mercenary units to protect it. The idea was adopted, and became key to ensure the League's survival.[3]
