Jack Koslow was the commanding officer of the Second Kavalleri Infantry of the Second Kavalleri as of 3062.[1]

Overste Koslow, serving with the Second Kavalleri, was stationed on Karbala in 3062.[1] By 3067, Koslow remained with the Second Kavalleri on Karbala.[3] Koslow's attempts to acquire Kage Battle Armor from the Draconis Combine were ended by the outbreak of the First Combine-Dominion War but he later brokered a deal between the Free Rasalhague Republic, ComStar, and Second Star League Defense Force for the creation of a new armor design. While the project's details were sketchy and field tests were ongoing, the new light battle armor was expected to enter service in early 3069.[4]
Koslow's efforts bore fruit with the creation of the Kobold battle armor design and he personally adapted well to battle armor operations. Despite being over sixty years of age when the Kobold was first fielded, Koslow's jokes that "you can teach an old dog new tricks" proved to be true when he passed all of the necessary examinations to enter into—and graduate out of—battle armor training. He continued to follow the development of his brainchild battle armor and became extremely familiar with every detail of what the Kobold could and could not do. Koslow's biggest challenge became convincing Clan Ghost Bear to adopt a stealthy battle armor suit, although the Bears' stubborn nature meant that he had yet to succeed in that task by 3075.[2]
