Leftenant General Mitchell Simons was the commander of the Seventeenth Skye Rangers during Operation REVIVAL.[1]

Battle of Alexandria[edit]
As a MechWarrior in the Seventeenth Skye Rangers as of 3024, Simons mounted a gallant defense of a group of civilians on Alexandria, who were being attacked by a Lance of Draconis Combine BattleMechs.[2]
Clan Invasion[edit]
Mitchell Simons and the Seventeenth Skye Rangers were in garrison on the planet Barcelona when Clan Jade Falcon attacked in March 3050. The initial assault of the Ninth Talon Cluster initially drove the defenders back. But, the Seventeenth was able to counter attack so fiercely that Star Colonel Devon Hazen was forced to call in reinforcements from the Jade Falcon Guards to hold off and then defeat the Rangers.[1]
With the enemy closing in, Mitchell would call upon Area Commander Hauptmann General Frances Bissell for JumpShips to evacuate his forces from Barcelona. Bissell denied the request. Only the actions of insubordinate JumpShip commander who disobeyed Bissell's orders allowed some of the Skye Rangers to escape from the planet.[1] Mitchell Simons and the remnants of the Seventeenth Skye Rangers were able to flee to the Black Earth system where they were engaged by the Jade Falcons again in May 3050.[3]
Awards[edit]
For his actions on Alexandria in 3024, Simons was awarded the Honor of Skye.[2]
