Descended from the original Order of Five Pillars, the Order of the Five Pillars was one of the sub-units of Katana Tormark's Dragon's Fury.[1][2]
History[edit]
When Akira Tormark moved to the Republic of the Sphere in the 3070s, a small cell of Order of Five Pillars members followed. Over time, his daughter Katana eventually molded them into something combat-oriented, a secretive scouting and reconnaissance unit.[1][2] When Katana's O5P made its first public appearance, it caused alarm within the Republic intelligence community, prompting a deeper investigation of her roots that revealed Akira's broader ties to the Combine O5P.[2]
Katana's O5P played a core role in an investigation conducted by the then-Prefect into BattleMech smuggling, an approximately year-long probe that concluded on 27 June 3132. The probe led to several arrests, including of major corporate and trade organization leaders.[3] Information gathered by the O5P, according to Katana, implicated several Republic Senators. Exarch Damien Redburn told INN that he had "great faith" in both Katana and her Order of the Five Pillars.[4]
When the Dragon's Fury formed as a breakaway force after the 3132 Blackout, the O5P became one of its main formations. The Order, as it stood shortly after the Blackout, was kept deliberately small and deeply secretive. Those who survived the admission tests and training process were kept isolated, largely cut off from the outside world. Resignation was not allowed.[1][2]
