Owl was an adept and operative in the Word of Blake's Light of Mankind covert operations force.[1]
History[edit]
Owl was assigned as commanding officer of a four-person Light of Mankind strike team during a multipronged assault on a Stone's Coalition base located at an Athenian spaceport on Terra in August 3078. Described as ruthless, with a visage that was skull-like, he was contemptuous of his subordinates. During the night mission, frustrated at his security chief's apparent inability to properly prepare for the Coalition's rate of base repairs, he made a flawed tactical decision that exposed the team's presence to patrolling BattleMechs. In an attempt to achieve the mission parameters, he willingly sacrificed his life and knowingly endangered the entire city, resulting in the destruction of a majority of it and the annihilation of Mars Hill and the ancient Parthenon monument (though this was credited to his second-in-command, Alan Rend, who had actually tried to prevent the final detonation).[1]
