History[edit]
Colonel Hubble, serving with the Dar-es-Salaam Tamarind March Militia, was stationed on Dar-es-Salaam in 3050 and remained there by 3062, after the unit was made part of the Cavanaugh Theater Militia.[3][2] Previously a member of the Fourteenth Lyran Guards, Hubble was given command of the Dar-es-Salaam militia on the day of its founding in 3039. Hubble was not a muslim himself, unlike many of his soldiers, but he respected the faith and its emphasis on morality and family. While Hubble did everything he could to support the five pillars of Islam - belief, prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, and alms - his insistence that militiamen not pray while on duty lead some hardliners to label him as "insensitive".[2]
During the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, Dar-es-Salaam was one of the worlds attacked by Victor Steiner-Davion's forces in the summer of 3064. Victor lead the attack on Dar-es-Salaam himself but when Hubble learned how fragile the ex-Prince's forces were, he lead a counterattack directly at the Federated Suns nobleman. On 24 July, Hubble confronted Victor in battle, but died as the Prince and his men fought their way clear of the militia's trap.[1]
BattleMechs[edit]
Colonel Shalom Hubble piloted a Berserker BattleMech and died at its controls during the FedCom Civil War.[1]
