Colonel Steven Graham was a member of the Special Recon Group of Wolf's Dragoons from at least 3019 to 3054, and later overall commander of the Dragoons Special Operations Group.
History[edit]
Early Career[edit]
As a simple MechWarrior prior to 3025 Graham most preferred scouting in cities, where he could jump from rooftop to rooftop, only returning to the ground only when absolutely necessary. During the Dragoons' deep penetration raid on Hesperus II in 3019 while under Marik employ, this tactic almost killed Graham, when a building collapsed under him. Despite only being saved by quick action from a nearly Dragon's lance, Graham continued his roof hopping habits subsequently.[1][2]
Graham was promoted to captain, and command of Graham's Company (The Night Owls) within the Special Recon Group, before 3030. At this time he was recognized as a talented though modest officer who would soon be promoted to lead the Special Recon Group, but who credited much of his success to his mentors, including Hansen Brubaker.[3]
Dragoon Civil War[edit]
It was in the role of commander of the Special Recon Group in 3054, during the Dragoon Civil War, that Graham would lead the Special Recon Group to side with those still loyal to Jaime Wolf.[4]
After Jaime Wolf successfully retained control of the Dragoons in that conflict, he promoted Graham to colonel and overall command of the Special Operations Group, a post he held as of 3055.[5]
BattleMech[edit]
As a MechWarrior before 3025, Graham was known to pilot an Ostscout BattleMech.[1][2] Later, in 3030, Graham was known to pilot a Locust BattleMech.[3]
