Li Wynn was a armored infantry officer in Warrior House Hiritsu prior to and during the Capellan-St. Ives War.[1]
History[edit]
When House Hiritsu reconquered Kaifeng in 3058, their rising star Aris Sung was stranded behind enemy lines in the Tarrahouse district and got caught up in a plot by members of House Hiritsu who worked with the defenders and sabotaged their own unit. While going to ground, Sung met and befriended Li Wynn who was a street urchin and petty thief at the time. Wynn helped Sung and at one point even foiled an attempted kidnapping by traitors. It was also Li Wynn who overheard and then relayed to Aris Sung the traitors' plan to break an agreed-upon ceasefire with a false flag operation.[2]
Wynn subsequently followed Aris Sung. Although he was older than most aspirants to Warrior House Hiritsu, his determination eventually led to him being accepted, much like how Aris Sung himself had managed to be accepted despite being technically too old. Through long hours of study and physical training under Sung's tutelage, Wynn excelled where other aspirants failed and eventually gained his place in House Hiritsu. Wynn's finest moment came when, while he was escorting Isis Marik on a tour of Hustaing, the rogue Second Battalion of the Blackwind Lancers attacked the planet in an attempt to eliminate Chancellor Sun-Tzu Liao himself. When the Lancers attacked Hustaing's capital, Wynn's actions allowed Isis to flee at the cost of his own freedom and when the Lancers ultimately surrendered, Wynn returned to the Confederation a hero.[1]
During the Capellan-St. Ives War, Wynn was give command of two platoons of infantry, one of which was wholly comprised of battle armor troops. On St. Ives itself, Wynn aided in the defeat of the St. Ives defenders during the Battle of Scottsdale Wash before his troops were halted in their assault on the city of Naqiuo by a Clint BattleMech and its armored vehicle support. Wynn's men did succeed in pushing back the enemy 'Mech and destroying its supporting forces but Wynn's own unit took heavy casualties and Wynn was wounded himself. With his battle armor damaged, Wynn commandeered a Blizzard hover tank and attacked the Clint before it could engage House Hiritsu's troops advancing on the Shen Pass. While Wynn died stopping the Clint, his efforts ensured that he would be remembered as a true warrior of House Hiritsu.[1]
