Claudio was a Trueborn Ghost Bear, which fought during the Word of Blake Jihad. He was an active warrior when his unit, Rho Galaxy participated at the Battle of Luthien in 3075, losing his 'Mech on the battle. On 20 January, he was onboard the Leviathan II when it abandoned the Luthien system. He had been working to make his Great Work, trying photography, but without success. That day, his tech informed him than his 'Mech had been replaced with a Federated Suns Osiris. Claudio didn't like the 'Mech's aspect, but, without alternatives, tried it... and saw his senses assaulted by the perfume, sounds and visual impact of Hikaru, a digital assistant.
