Clan Diamond Shark merchant Mark Sennet, accompanied by Star Captain Anna Borghev, attempts to conduct a live fire exercise against the Hanseatic League's Regional Defense Force 4 to sell Ha Otokos. During the exercise, the Hansa force breaks the deal, setting up an ambush to steal the 'Mech and cover the theft up under a volcanic eruption. Taking advantage of the same expected eruption, recognizing that it would destroy the Ha Otoko and deny it to the League if he kept fighting, Mark negotiates a safe escape. By his deal, blame for the Hanseatic betrayal is to be laid solely at the feet of Major Hohiro Watanabe.
