History
Was the garrison on Trell I when Clan Steel Viper's Fifty-first Battle Cluster landed in April 3053 to claim the planet.[1][2]
The Eighth ambushed the Viper force in a network of caves known as the Smuggler's Maze. Despite being outgunned, the Eighth managed to stretch the fight out to four days before capitulating.[1][2]
During the Refusal War the Eighth Provisional Garrison Cluster was stationed on Butler as that was where the Falcons assumed Clan Wolf would attack. This later proved incorrect, so they were out of position.[3]
Officers
As of 3059 the Commanding Officer was Star Colonel Patrick.[1]
