Overview
The 129th Mechanized Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764 the 129th was a part of XXVII Corps within the Eleventh Army and was assigned to District 1 of the Lyran Commonwealth Military Region. The 129th was then transferred to District 2 in response to the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[2]
During the push into Moscow in early 2777 the 129th supported the 331st Royal BattleMech Division.[3]
The 129th survived the war and the Hegemony Campaign, and followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus in 2784.[2]

Tactics
The Mechanized Infantry Divisions of the Star League were used offensively to exploit gaps in the enemy front created by the BattleMech Divisions. They also bore the brunt of defensive actions.
Composition History
As an SLDF mechanized infantry division the 129th would have been composed of two brigades of mechanized infantry and a brigade of 'Mech regiments.[4]
