Template:InfoBoxStateUnit The 168th Garrison Cluster was a second line Cluster of Clan Smoke Jaguar.

History

Post Tukayyid

Other Clusters of Nu Galaxy were posted to the Inner Sphere Occupation Zone after the Battle of Tukayyid [1] and this is also the likely deployment date for the 168th. The Cluster had deployed to Labrea by 3053. [2] Around late 3058 the cluster moved to Port Arthur to prepare for the arrival of the 6th Jaguar Dragoons and their push into the Draconis Combine. [3]

Operation Bulldog

Wave One

  • Port Arthur - Here it was attacked by the 1st Davion Guards, later reinforced by the 2nd Legion of Vega and the 5th Sword of Light. [4] The fighting was bitter and drawn out over two weeks, the Guards were originally expecting only light resistance from the garrison of bondsmen piloting captured Inner Sphere 'Mechs. Some elements attempted to escape from the planet, which sparked a naval battle in the system. [5]
