1st Steiner Strikers

First Steiner Strikers (Formerly Broken Sword Battalion) 32nd Century, Lyran Special ops military command created in July, 3137 for Operation Hammerfall.

Creation was authorized by both Aide-de-camp Trillian Steiner and then Hauptman Roderick Frost.

A small combined-arms battalion used for specific targets for the invasion of Free Worlds League.

The Command personnel was chosen by (then) Hauptmann Roderick Frost as means to redemption for soldiers whom would not necessary be given a second chance to prove their worthiness. The personnel, whom many were serving jail time in military prisons were freed by Rodney for their unusual talents.

The officially listed as Auxiliary Battalion B1, the units original self-name was the Broken Swords, after ancient Terran pharse of Roman soldiers whom were disgrace and their swords broken to mark them as failures. Later after it commanding officer was forced to reveal his true identity, the unit was renamed the 1st Steiner Strikers.

History

First combat deployment to the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey world of Labourgiere in September of 3137. They were charged to take world for Lyran Commonwealth since lack of frontline units became issue for Operation Hammerfall. On Labourgiere, they faced militia unit called Fangs of Marik and soundedly defeated them taking light caualities and equipment damage. As sign of surrender, it CO handed his silver laser pistol as sign of surrendered.
