The 202nd BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Redondo,[1] assigned as a part of the LXII Corps, Fourth Army to District 3 of the Federated Suns Military Region, but was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765.[2]
The 202nd was destroyed in 2765 during the Periphery Uprising due to the inexperience and timidness of its officers. Then-Colonel Jack Lucas of the 253rd Battle Regiment was promoted to brigade commander in the field and led the retreat of the Division's survivors that numbered only ten battalions. Lucas was later promoted to command the 255th Royal Mechanized Infantry Division, though it is not recorded if the remnants of the 202nd joined him.[2][3]
