Unit Description
The 39th Division was a elite "hidden" Word of Blake Militia unit that was revealed until fews after the Jihad began. It was reportively believe among the most elite of the non-Shadow Division units of the Word of Blake's military. It is part of the Word of Blake Protectorate's defense forces, specially for Terra. It is also noted for high number of Clan equipment salvaged from Outreach, Pesht, and Luthien.[1]
History
The unit first appeared on Thorin in 3071. For most of the early part of the war, the unit was not used against rebel factions or resistences outside of the Protectorate. The unit been rotated between worlds which are only within two jumps of Terra.[2] It also been used as a "showcase unit" to show off the best of the Word of Blake militia's forces.[3]

The 39th Division is noted for it being one few units deploying the Raptor II BattleMechs.[4]
Game Notes
The Division is a showcase military unit, which is has the best MechWarrior pilots in the Militia's ranks. The controlling player when rolling up their force's piloting and gunnery skills may re-roll three times per result (per scenario) for better skills. The 39th also has highest number of Clan BattleMechs in regular Militia. The controlling player may roll up to two thirds of the unit number per scenario (rounded up). The following Clan Random Assignment Tables (RAT) should be used; Clan Diamond Shark, Clan Ghost Bear, and Clan Nova Cat. Also, the Division also bolsters best and latest technologies, so when rolling for light 'Mechs, on the results of 2 or 12 the controlling player may choose to subitute Raptor II RPT-2X or RPT-2X1 variants inplace of usual results.[5]
