Originally known as the Achernar Sarna March Militia. With the formation of The Republic of the Sphere the planetary defense became a Republic Standing Guard unit.
Contents
History
After the 3057 Marik-Liao offensive that claimed much of the Sarna March, the Militia was placed under the control of the Capellan March Militia.[1]
During the FedCom Civil War the Achernar CMM fought for Katherine Steiner-Davion. During the later waves of the Civil War, the Achernar CMM was heavily damaged. Achernar officially became part of the Capellan March Militia in 3067, after the FedCom Civil War ended.[1] The fighting of the Civil War reduced them to approximately half their pre-Civil War strength.[2]
