Star Colonel Burnell Wirth was a high-ranking officer of Clan Smoke Jaguar. He was directly second in command to Star Colonel Marcus Kotare on the planet Cermak in the Periphery after the clan's de-facto Annihilation and aided him in efforts to recover ancient Star League technology. Previously, he was in command of the planet's clan garrison consisting of a single Cluster and an Elemental training facility. He was Kotare's last bloodnamed officer and fell protecting one of his vault drills while piloting a Turkina OmniMech modified to carry 4 Thunderbolt missile units, spoils of his mining operation.
