As of 3137, the Captiva was a Rim Commonality-registered civilian JumpShip.

History[edit]

As of 3067, a commemorative plaque aboard the bicentennial JumpShip Sanibel indicates the Sanibel to be one of a run of Tramp-class JumpShips involved in the early colonization of what would become Melissia and Timbuktu Theaters of the Lyran Commonwealth, naming its sister ships as the Canaveral, the Largo, the Key West, and the Captiva.[1] All but the Sanibel and the Largo were cited as lost, though the Sanibel at the time had dealings with the Captiva and its Captain Sigrid McAllister,[2] or another vessel by the same name, calling into question if the other supposedly lost ships were really lost.

This Captiva was reported to have conducted minor repairs at the shipyards at Canal shortly before September 3067, and assisted with smuggling operations, including inserting elements of the Chaos Irregulars on Elume in October 3067. This involvement in smuggling may explain why the Captiva was apparently incorrectly recorded as lost.[3]

The Captiva was still in operation in 3137. As a Rim Commonality-registered civilian JumpShip, it transported Christopher Marik to Tamarind.[4]
