Diane Jameson was an officer on the Swordsworn.[2]

History

Diane Jameson desired to be an aerospace pilot and was accepted into the prestigious Lloyd Marik-Stanley Aerospace School in the Marik Commonwealth where she excelled, and by her third year was at the top of her class.

During her third year the entire school divided along political lines as students chose sides in the conflict between the three heirs to the House Marik throne: Anson Marik, Jessica Marik and Fontaine Marik and combat actually occurred before one side gained ascendancy. Diane was horrified to see her best friends and classmates killing each other, so she fled to the Republic of the Sphere.

Her terrible memories kept her from an aerospace fighter, so instead she retrained and was able to become a top-rate MechWarrior. How she ended in the Swordsworn is not known, but they do not remember her of her broken yesterdays.[1]

While on Tikonov, Duke Aaron Sandoval sent her and some Swordsworn to Ankaa.[2] The arrival of the Steel Wolves had arrived to Ankaa and had been initially viewed with some optimism, due to the manner in which Jacob Bannson had treated the employees of the DiNapoli Industries plants the Steel Wolves had come to annex.[3]Dark Age: 3132-3134 INN, p. 77: "Ankaa Targeted"</ref>

She took a daring gamble trying to take taking the Wolves by surprise, the Swordsworn forces made an orbital combat drop directly into Ankaa's capital city of Anqabad. Star Captain Sadia Wolf had prepared her Wolves well and were prepared and pushed the Swordsworn to the twisted canyons of the North Pole's Great Maze. Diane formulated a plan to give her forces back the initiative. They pulling back to the base of Al Kazim (the third largest mountain in Ankaa's north polar region) and set up a fake field command post, leaving her own machine in the open to act as bait while the rest of her troops went hiding surrounding her and she reviewed the zone on her Shiva aerospace fighter. The battle was savage, and both sides took extensive damage. Both of them saw that they needed to hold DiNapoli Industries complex, and both tried to reach them first, with the Steel Wolves beating the Swordsworn and forcing them to try to eject a defensive force entrenched in a city. She was knocked off and unconscious after defeating a Spider.[2] The battle left hundreds dead and thousands injured in and around Anqabad.[3]

Despite the Swordsworn's efforts, the Steel Wolves retained control of the DropShip manufacturing facilities.[4]

Diane's fate is unknown.[citation needed]
